Determining Your Belt Size

1. Measure an Existing Belt (Best Method)
If you already have a belt that fits well, this method is the most accurate.
Step 1: Lay the belt flat on a surface.
Step 2: Measure from the hole you use most often (where the belt buckles) to the end of the belt where the buckle attaches (do not include the buckle itself in the measurement).
Step 3: The number you get is the size you should look for in a new belt.
For example, if the measurement is 36 inches, you should buy a belt labeled as 36 (or slightly bigger depending on preference)
2. Measure Your Waist (No Belt Available)
If you don’t have a belt to measure, you can measure your waist or hips (depending on where you plan to wear the belt).
Step 1: Use a measuring tape to wrap around your waist or hips where the belt will sit (typically at the belt loops of your pants).
Step 2: Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight.
Step 3: Add 1-2 inches to this measurement to get your belt size.
For example, if your waist is 34 inches, you should buy a 36-inch belt.
3. Pants Size Method (Quick Estimate)
If you don’t have a measuring tape or belt handy, use your pants size as a guide:
Step 1: Take your waist size from your pants.
Step 2: Add 2 inches to the size. For example, if you wear 34-inch pants, a 36-inch belt should work.
Common Tips:
Belts typically come in sizes from XS to XXL, and the size often corresponds to inches.
Most belts are designed to fit when fastened at the middle hole, giving you room to tighten or loosen.
If you’re in between sizes, it’s usually better to size up for flexibility.
