One thing I've learned is that there are no shortcuts to making something worth owning.
I work from a small workshop on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, where I craft a range of leather goods by hand. Every piece is made with the same care and attention to detail that I've applied throughout my working life.
My background is in trades such as boat building, joinery and cabinetmaking — industries where quality matters and close enough is never good enough. Those skills, and the mindset that comes with them, are at the heart of everything I make.
Every Wednesday you'll find me at the Eumundi Markets, where I have built a reputation for producing quality leather products at reasonable prices. Meeting customers face to face and seeing my products used and appreciated is one of the most rewarding parts of the job.
